Artist Statement:

Nova Colette Bronstein enjoys bending perception. Seeking to create beauty, often from chaos, she finds harmony throughout compositions of layered elements, adding diversity and mystery into an otherwise straightforward composition. Preferring to create statement work,  her pieces tend to be large and lean towards surrealism. A twist of perception is also employed through her use of color which is created from recycled aluminum can, transformed into shiny gem-like elements.  She Is drawn to expressions which involve transformation; alchemic processes like those in photography and metalsmithing which change state or color. Using reactions created through kiln firings, heat and time causing bright color to seep into white or clear enamel, pulling from the copper underneath creating vibrant color where there previously was none.
